Yared Nuguse ( YAR-id nə-GOOSS; born June 1, 1999) is an American middle-distance runner who specializes in the 1500 meters and mile. He was the 2019 NCAA Division I champion and bronze medalist from the 2024 Summer Olympics in the former. Nuguse is the North American outdoor record holder over the one mile distance. He briefly held the world record in the indoor mile for a five-day stretch from February 8 to February 13, 2025.
Since June 2022, Nuguse has competed for the On Athletics Club under coach Dathan Ritzenhein.
